Lightweight Mullite Fire Bricks are a high-alumina refractory with mullite (3Al2O3·2SiO2) as the main crystal phase. Generally, the alumina content is between 65% and 75%. In addition to mullite, the mineral composition contains a small amount of vitreous phase and cristobalite with a lower alumina content; a small amount of corundum is also contained in the higher alumina content. Lightweight mullite fire bricks use imported tabular corundum and high-purity fused corundum as the main raw materials, and apply advanced superfine powder adding technology. After mixing, drying, molding, they are fired in a high-temperature shuttle kiln. Mullite light bricks are widely used in slag gasification furnaces, two-stage ammonia synthesis reformers, carbon black reaction furnaces and refractory kilns. The dimensions, physical and chemical indicators and service life of the products all meet the requirements of customers.
Mullite brick has high refractoriness, which can reach above 1790℃. Under load softening start temperature 1600 ~ 1700 ℃. Normal temperature compressive strength 70 ~ 260MPa. Good thermal shock resistance. There are two types of sintered mullite bricks and fused mullite bricks. Sintered mullite brick is made of high alumina bauxite clinker as the main raw material, adding a small amount of clay or raw bauxite as a binder, and is made by molding and firing. Fused mullite bricks use high bauxite, industrial alumina and refractory clay as raw materials, add charcoal or coke fine particles as reducing agents, and use reduction electrofusion method to manufacture after molding. The crystallinity of fused mullite is larger than that of sintered mullite, and its thermal shock resistance is better than that of sintered products. Their high temperature performance is mainly determined by the alumina content and the homogeneity of the mullite phase and glass distribution.
Lightweight Mullite Fire Bricks ingredients:
The production of lightweight mullite fire bricks uses sawdust, styrofoam pellets, and their mixtures as an additive to ash, respectively. The ingredients are made according to the formula. When making ingredients, first add the clinker, industrial alumina and kaolin to the mixing tank for dry mixing for 2-3 minutes, then add the additives and binders (additional), stir while adding, and mix well. It can be used after 24 hours of sleepiness.
