The blast furnace ironmaking hot blast stove is an important core kiln in the ironmaking process. High alumina bricks are widely used in hot blast stoves as the basic product of refractory materials. Due to the huge temperature difference between the upper and lower sides of the hot blast stove, the refractory materials used in each section are very different. The main parts of the application of high alumina bricks are the vault area of the hot blast stove, the large wall, the regenerator, and the combustion chamber. details as follows:
1. Dome area of hot blast stove
The vault is the space connecting the combustion chamber and the regenerator, including working layer bricks, filler layers and thermal insulation layers. Since the temperature in the vault area of the hot blast stove is very high, exceeding 1400°C, the high-alumina bricks used in the working layer are low-creep high-alumina bricks, and silica bricks, mullite bricks, sillimanite and andalusite can also be used in this part. brick;
2. The big wall
The large wall of the hot blast stove refers to the wall part of the hot blast stove body, including the working layer brick, the filler layer and the thermal insulation layer. Different refractory bricks are used for working layer bricks according to the temperature of the upper and lower parts. High alumina bricks are mainly used in the middle and lower parts.
3. Regenerator
The regenerator is a space full of checkered bricks, and its main function is to use the inner checkered bricks to exchange heat with high-temperature flue gas and combustion-supporting air. In this part, low-creep high-alumina bricks are used, which are mainly used in the middle position.
4. Combustion chamber
The combustion chamber is the space where the gas burns. The setting of the combustion chamber space has a great relationship with the furnace type and structure of the hot blast stove. High-alumina bricks are used more in this part. Low-creep high-alumina bricks are used in high temperature areas, and ordinary high-alumina bricks can be used in medium and low temperature areas.
