Brick repair furnace is a furnace protection method with low cost and short sintering cycle, that is, after the steel is discharged from the converter, no slag or less slag is poured, and the residual bricks of the ladle that meet the requirements of the repair furnace are poured into the furnace. In the repaired position, the residual heat in the slag after tapping is used to rapidly sinter the slag and the ladle at the damaged position of the converter to achieve the purpose of repairing the furnace lining.
The specific operation steps of brick repair furnace
(1) The size of the ladle residual brick used for brick repair is 30-200 mm, and the brick body must be dry, free of oil and debris. Use 1 t of ladle residual bricks for every 1 m2 of repaired location, with a maximum of 2 t.
(2) Refill the furnace times, adjust the amount of lime and light burning, control the basicity of the slag at 3.0-4.0, control the MgO content at 9%-14%; control the tapping temperature at 1650 ℃ to ensure the sintering temperature.
(3) Refilling the furnace, no slag will be splashed after the molten steel is clean, and a part of the slag will be poured out according to the amount of slag, and 3-6 t of slag will be left in the furnace. for the best. If there is remaining molten steel, the furnace repairing operation can only be performed after the remaining molten steel is drained out again at the tapping hole.
(4) After the slag is left, shake the furnace body to the feeding side, use the scrap hopper to add the residual bricks of the ladle into the furnace, and shake the furnace repeatedly according to the repaired position until the residual bricks of the ladle are evenly covered on the repaired position, and stand for sintering. 20-30 min, until all the slag is sintered and solidified.
Effectiveness analysis
Each converter is repaired in the middle and later stages of the furnace operation, and the on-site brick repair data and material repair data are analyzed. The repairing frequency of brick repair is lower than that of material repair, and the average repair time is shorter. From the effect of repairing furnace, the average thickness of brick repair furnace lining in each furnace age stage is better than that of material repair furnace seat.
Practice has proved that the method of repairing the furnace lining with ladle residual bricks has produced obvious economic benefits. It not only reduces the cost of furnace protection, but also saves 30 minutes of time for each furnace repair, especially in the later stage of the furnace operation, which greatly improves the efficiency of steelmaking operations.
