Phosphate bricks have been recognized as qualified lining brick for cement kilns and lime kilns.
Phosphate brick include two varieties: one is phosphate-bonded high-alumina brick (referred to as typical phosphate brick), using 42.5% to 50% Concentration of the phosphoric acid solution as Binding agent. The other is phosphate-bonded high-alumina wear-resistant brick (referred to as wear-resistant brick), its binding agent are aluminum phosphate solution which is made of Industrial phosphoric acid and industrial aluminum.
Comparing between the two, typical phosphate brick with Chemical stability, high thermal strength, good wear resistance, commonly used in the expansion mouth and high temperature kiln lining of machine shaft kiln, and cooling zone and transition zone of rotary kiln. Wear-resistant brick with better corrosion resistance than phosphate brick, commonly used in the corroded badly part of machine shaft kiln and cooling machine and kiln mouth of rotary kiln.
High-quality phosphate-bonded high alumina bricks and Special high alumina bricks containing zirconium, with good thermal shock stability and good resistance to crust, are developed in recent years.
Application of Phosphate bricks:
kiln mouth of the rotary kiln transition zone,
firing zone of the rotary kiln,
Also for mechanical shaft kiln, lime kiln, carbon industry rotary kiln, etc..
Advantage of Phosphate bricks:
1. High temperature strength at room temperature,
2. Good thermal shock stability,
3. High load softening high temperature,
4. Accurate size,
5. High bulk density,
6.Good wear resistance.
